Turkey is a large country with a territoria of 777000 sqkm and is located like a bridge between Europe and Asia.
Turkey is a road transport country, 95% of good transport and 98 % of public transport are transported on the road. Wherever you want to travel you travel by car or bus. Busses and trucks are important part of economy of this country.
Turkey lives 4 seasons at the same time.While Erzurum the temperature was -10 degrees in Antalya might be 25 degrees.
Turkey is a high altitude country ,average altitude is 1100m, so the need of a retarder is high too.
Turkey is a very difficult prooving ground for commercial vehicles.
Turkey has several commercial vehicle producers.They produce trucks, trailers, busses and midibusses meeting these difficult conditions.They do export them aswell.
TELMA is becoming part of these turkish commercial vehicles.

BECOUSE OF THE HEAVY ECONOMICAL CRISES IN 2002 IN TURKEY THE UNEF EXHIBITION WAS CANCELLED FOR THIS YEAR ONLY .

Available from mid-April 2005: AD72-60 for vehicles between 22 and 32 tons
With a rated braking torque of 2600 Nm, the new AD 72-60 retarder replaces the AC 82-70 and CC250 models.
It features copper coils and a reduction in power consumption of 400 W; weight is reduced by 136 kg and rotor inertia has been decreased by 35%!
Ad 72-60 benefits from the latest developments from Telma: greased-for-life bearings and new sealed hub, sealed internal wiring with insulated earth return, coils of enamelled copper wire, stainless-steel stator and a universal mounting system enables a straightforward installation on most types of chassis.

Telma Retarder Option for New ZF 6 Speed Transmission Generation.
Telma (part of the Valeo Group) is proud to present the technical feasibility of a retarder option by Telma Retarder for the new generation of ZF 6 speed transmissions (ZF-Ecolite), which ZF has presented during the last IAA 2006.
Due to the market demand and need (based on M2/M3 legislation) Telma has developed with ZF the layout to make the Telma Retarder in combination with ZF-Ecolite available to Bus & Coach OEM. Telma will increase step-by-step the offered brake torque range from 1.200 till 2.400 Nm in different retarder sizes. Interesting features are the new installation method (shorter) and the ability to integrate with AS Tronic lite (the automated version of ZF-Ecolite). A model of this solution is available at the stand of Telma during the Busworld.
Telma is proud to lead with this solution and answer to the demand in the different market places. It is again setting the pace for the retarder market.
